ABATE of MN Recognized by the MN Motorcycle Safety Center

Recently ABATE of Minnesota was recognized by the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center for a large contribution to promote their new motorcycle training course, the Civillian Police Motorcycle Course (CPMC). This course allows experinced street riders in Minnesota to learn the same techniques designed to train police motor officers in traffic situations. It is a challenging eight hour course and costs only $75. Group rates are available. ABATE of Minnesota members took the course when it was first rolled out and had great things to say about the learning experience.

The funding provided by ABATE of Minnesota will allow this program to expand to a wider audience outside the metro area. Bill Shaffer, Program Manager for the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center thanked ABATE of Minnesota for the much needed funding as he handed an appreciation plaque to Mack Backlund, State Coordinator for ABATE of Minnesota, followed by a round of applause from the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Advisory Task Force members.

ABATE of Minnesota has a long history of promoting and funding motorcycle safety training in Minnesota. Our local chapters provide training for their members and through the proceeds of our very successful raffles we are able to donate money to great causes including the expansion of motorcycle safety training in Minnesota.

Please join and support ABATE of MN.
