Important Message from the MN Motorcycle Safety Center

We still need more motorcyclists for MnDOT to complete their study of new rumble strip designs to ensure they are motorcycle friendly. They have scheduled another test session for Saturday, October 24 at their MnROAD testing facility near Monticello. The testing session lasts approximately two hours.

Rider participation is important to ensure that the next generation of rumble strips, including centerline rumble strips, is motorcycle friendly. All participants that RSVP will receive a $50 gas card. Note they need 50 different riders so if you’ve already participated, thank you, but you cannot participate twice.

If you haven’t yet participated, please consider doing so, and please share this message with riders you know so this valuable study can be completed. Please RSVP to me by Friday, October 23.

Ask those you share this message with to also RSVP to me @ William.Shaffer@state.mn.us.  Thanks.

The test session runs at 9am on Saturday October 24th . Your attendance for testing is needed rain or shine, warm or cold; so don’t RSVP if you can only make it on a nice sunny day. Please arrive ten minutes before the start of the session.

Thanks again for your help.
