MMSAC Accepting Applications

ABATE OF Minnesota has a long tradition of members serving on the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Advisory Committee (MMSAC). Applications are being accepted through May 20, 2009. Apply now and play a role in Minnesota motorcycle safety.

The MMSAC provides input to the Department of Public Safety, evaluates and recommends strategies to improve the safety of motorcycle riders and their passengers, motorcycle rider training, rider testing and licensing, and public information and education activities. The MMSAC Operating Policies and Procedures are available online. Committee meeting minutes are available online. The next meeting is at St. Paul College, 235 Marshall Ave, Room 185, St. Paul on May 21, 2009.

The committee will accept applications at any time of year, but the primary recruitment period is January to May for appointments that begin in September of each year. The MMSAC represents Minnesota motorcyclists and the diversity of the motorcycling community. The group consists of men and women of all ages from all parts of the state. The committee meets regularly, every other month from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
