Announcing Precinct Caucus Training

ABATE of Minnesota is pleased to announce precinct caucus training to be held in conjunction with the January quarterly Board of Directors meeting. Precinct caucuses are the first step used by Minnesota's major political parties to select the candidates and issues they will support in the 2010 elections. The three major political parties in Minnesota will hold precinct caucuses on February 2, 2010. The class is free and will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Board meeting and last about one hour.  The first class in October was very informative.

US Defenders Supports "Right to Repair"

The US Defenders program has formally committed to support HR2057, the "Right to Repair" bill in the US House of Representatives. They join a long list of organazations, including the Motorcycle Riders Foundation, to support this bill. Click HERE to see the list of supporters. HR 2057, the Motor Vehicle Owners Right to Repair Act of 2009, is currently in the US House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce (There are no members from MN on this committee).

It was recently announced, and reported by the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), that the federal government is proceeding with the motorcycle crash causation study. This is news for a number of reasons, as the study has been on virtual life support for the past few years.
