November 4th is Also Election Day at the Federal Level

Hello ABATE members and supporters. We are two weeks away from Election Day. Candidates for Minnesota’s eight US House of Representative seats and one US Senate seat will be desperately seeking your vote during this crucial time. If you are at a town hall meeting or candidate forum before November 4th, please ask the candidates one or more of the questions listed below.

Please send all of the responses that you receive to me so we can track them. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks for supporting your motorcycling freedom at the federal level.

Bring Your ABATE Chapter to the State Capitol Offer

Hello Freedom Fighters,

You all know by now that due to renovations at the State Capitol we will not be able to have our traditional Bikerday. So we are asking Chapters to schedule their own “mini Bikerday”.

Lake Chapter has 17 members signed up to lobby at the State Capitol on February 11th. Chapter representatives will be making appointments for the members attending and they will hand deliver ABATE of MN talking points to their elected officials. These talking points were recently sent out to this email list and Mack has printed copies.

Congratulations to the winners of ABATE of Minnesota’s Fall 2014 Chapter Membership Drive Challenge

The chapters with the largest percentage increase in memberships between October 1st and December 31st are:

1st Prize - Banner for your chapter - River Riders Chapter
2nd Prize - Flag flown over the US Capitol - Sand Dunes Chapter
3rd Prize - Honorable mention award -  Metro Chapter

Our riding freedoms will continue to be challenged. ABATE of Minnesota will need all freedom minded bikers on board to be successful in 2015. Sign your friends up today!

Bill Introduced to Curtail Profiling of Minnesota Motorcyclists

Today HF 59 was introduced in the Minnesota House of Representatives. ABATE of Minnesota, working together with a large cross section of active motorcyclists, fully supports this bill and awaits action in the Minnesota Senate. Please contact your Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate legislator and ask that they co-sponsor and support HF59 and the Senate version when available.
