ABATE of Minnesota Rocks the Capitol

On February 2, 2011, ABATE of Minnesota members and motorcyclists from groups and clubs statewide came to the Minnesota State Capitol to lobby with one voice to protect the rights and safety of all motorcyclists.

From Albert Lea to Roseau, from Marshall to Duluth and from all points in between, hundreds upon hundreds of Minnesota motorcyclists poured into the State Capitol in St. Paul to protect motorcycling freedom and improve motorcycle safety.

Great News on HF68

HF 68, the ABATE of Minnesota supported legislation that increases the penalty for careless driving resulting in death, passed the Minnesota House Public Safety Committee on Wednesday, January 26, and was referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee. On February 10th, the bill was heard and held over for inclusion in the Judiciary omnibus bill. This is a very positive development. Unless another chair insists on hearing this bill we will have no more hearings in the Minnesota House and when the Judiciary omnibus bill is assembled, this language should be included in the big bill.
