ABATE's Motorcycle Awareness License Plate Progressing in the House

Today the Minnesota House Transportation Committee heard the ABATE sponsored “Start Seeing Motorcycles” license plate bill (HF533). Unlike many other specialty plates, these plates have a message that would reinforce the importance of driver responsibility when operating a vehicle on our roads and highways. ABATE of Minnesota believes that a subtle reminder to “pay attention” while driving will be beneficial to all roadway users. With the advancements in digital license plate design and manufacture, the costs are minimal.

ABATE Lake Chapter Visits the Capitol

On February 11th twenty Lake Chapter members attended “Lake Chapter Day at the Capitol”. Chapter members discussed motorcycle rights and safety issues with 16 elected officials and they dropped off ABATE of Minnesota Legislative talking points at over 150 offices. The day was very positive and many random politicians stopped our ABATEmembers in the halls to tell them how much they appreciate our efforts.

Bring Your ABATE Chapter to the State Capitol Offer

Hello Freedom Fighters,

You all know by now that due to renovations at the State Capitol we will not be able to have our traditional Bikerday. So we are asking Chapters to schedule their own “mini Bikerday”.

Lake Chapter has 17 members signed up to lobby at the State Capitol on February 11th. Chapter representatives will be making appointments for the members attending and they will hand deliver ABATE of MN talking points to their elected officials. These talking points were recently sent out to this email list and Mack has printed copies.
