Todd Riba Asks Your Support on HF 122

Hello Freedom Fighters,

ABATE of Minnesota’s 2017 Bikerday at the Capitol was a big success and the time is now to strike while the iron is hot. Our Motorcycle Awareness Bill was well received by legislators and now we need to encourage our State Representatives to sign on as co-authors in support of this bill. This is a three part bill and here is a brief description:

The first part of the bill offers a reduction of at least 10% on motorcycle coverage to anyone who successfully completes a state approved motorcycle safety course.

The second part calls for a "Start Seeing Motorcycles" license plate that would be available for motorcycles, automobiles, pickup trucks, and recreational vehicles. The proceeds from these plates would go into the Motorcycle Safety Fund.

The last part is related to the motorcycle endorsement fees that we all pay. A portion of these fees are credited to the MN Motorcycle Safety Fund up to $750,000 dollars. After that cap is reached only 90% goes into the fund. This bill would direct 100% to the safety fund. It's our money, why shouldn't we get all of it?

What can you do to help? You can call your MN State Representative and ask them to co-author our bill, HF122. If you don't know who your State Rep is just simply Google "who represents me in MN", put in your address, and click on your State Rep in the MN House to see their contact info.

All of our State Reps have received information on the bill so you won't have to go into a lot of detail. You just simply have to say:

"Hi, my name is ___________ and I live in (the city or township in which you reside) and I am asking Representative__________ to consider co-authoring HF122 which is a motorcycle awareness bill."

You can call anytime and leave a message. Then email me at to let me know that you made the call.

The following Reps have already signed onto our bill:

Nash, Jurgens, Nornes, Franke, Ecklund, Pugh, Lohmer, Thissen, Newberger, and Franson.

If you are represented by one of these supporters please call them to say thank you.

Thank you for all that you do and "Stand And Be Counted"
